Hope your having a nice time chaps - seeing crew in boardies in the water doesn't compute at the moment.. We have just had the second longest run of nights below 5 degrees(7). Daytime lucky to be 13 degrees - walking outside is like stepping into a fridge.

But theres Finally wind and swell coming Saturday so yippee - predicted 2-3 foot westerly swell at the mid with 20+knt nthlies and same at Day street with 20+ nnw!!!

Just not sure if theres any body left in Adelaide here to sail with!!

i'll be in the snow. typical, no weekend wind for ages, take a week off and no wind, then go away and wind comes.

Bert sailed at Hookipa yesterday for an hour or so, was only around the two foot mark, we should have joined him, but instead hung at Kanaha, sailed from 11am till 5pm, steady 20-25 knots.

We are hoping to get some tuition with Matt Pritchard this week, quick tacks seem to be on everyones wishlist, Richard keen for bigger jumps.

Brett has taken on the persona of Bretty Melletty, the Hawaiian windsurfing coach, giving video tips to all his fans, stay tuned for these uploads. Quite the comedian!

Phoebe and Riley not sick of the beach yet

Maui in Summer is a funny thing, the WINDGURU readings may say 12-12 MPH, but it will be blowing 20-25 knots,

We have had 12 MPH all last week at Kanaha, but have sailed everyday fully powered up, Richard Pritchard on his 4.7 / 4.2, Kym on her 64ltr and 4.4, 3.7, Bretty Melletty has been on a 4.7 and I have been powered up, (well powered) on a 5.3. Sailed a lot at camp one in 2-3 foot wind swell, as well as a nice NW pulse over the last few days. So wind may look light, but has been good.

Sailed yesterday at Keihi, gusty 20-25 knots, filled in around 5.30 for Richard and Bert to go nuts, nice small wave at this place, jump heaven. very low reef though
not good for fins :(

Looksl ike you all getting some wind, maybe too much?

Dave

Wind - what is thees thing you call wind.

No wind here only hot air coming out of Canberra - talking of which I reckon I could see strings hanging from the roof during the "Election Mass Debate" what a crock of over produced boring ****e that was.

Fingers crossed for some south Coast action Friday and Saturday or maybe some snaps - some nice finger and toe numbing water Dave @14 degrees - be prepared for a high shrivel factor!!

Sitting hear behind my computer working away, then I received an e-mail like this.

I should be in Maui!!

In a word - windy! Since I have been here not a day under 20 knots on the North Shore. Today more like 30. I'm taking it very easy to start off. I have hired a Goya One 95 and a 4.7 and 5.3 but only used the big sail once at Kanaha. When we first arrived we stayed at the Paia Inn for the first 3 nights - its right in the centre of town. Nice hotel very friendy staff and close to all the best eating spots. Since yesterday (tuesday) we have been at Pa'ani Point which is the old Andy's Cove. Great cottage you would love it. Today the wind blew directly from the east so I took the steps down the seawall at the front of oiur cottage and hopped in. I had to swim out 200+ metres out of the wind shadow to water start and then it was on for young and old. When coming in I landed at Sugar Cove which is about 100 metres West from here. That was no more than half an hour sailing and I was stuffed. I went to look at the Da Kine gear at their shop at the Old Cannery. There was nothing of interest there but the MFC Quatro Goya shop is next door. I chatted to the man himself, Fransisco. Really nice chap. He has lent me a new model Goya One 86 which he is very enthusiastic about. He says it combines the features of the One and Custom series. I wouldn't know yet as I was too scared to try it in todays wind, but tomorrow for sure. It looks beautiful. I will send you a photo.
Hey, its warm, its windy, its laid back. You should have been here Darren.
