Hello Everyone,
We had a great turn-out at the State Wave titles - 17 people joined Windsurfing SA for the season.
Now is the best time for the rest of you to join too.
Windsurfing SA allows us to run events with insurance and indemnity in place. We have a calendar of events in place (wave and flat water) and the legendary shop events will be under the Windsurfing SA umbrella this year too.
You will need to be a member of Windsurfing SA to enter an event. You get third party liability insurance via the AWA. So the $40 membership fee is money well spent, and you will help grow our sport. Not to mention your own national sail number.
Have a look at the calendar and download the membership form from here:
http://www.windsurfing.org/sa.htm
You can do it by direct transfer - instructions on the form.
Cheers,
The Windsurfing SA Committee |

Ah, pooh. It looks like I will have to work all long weekend and I won't be able to make it to Beachport . I was really hanging out for it.
So I won't be able to take memberships down there - I will see if one of the other committee members can bring some forms down. Otherwise, there is always the direct transfer option -see the first post of this thread.
To those that have joined WSA so far this year thank you and I was planning to send you all an email letting you know you have current membership. But I haven't had time to do that yet either!
Just started my own business this year. More money but less time. Don't know what I was thinking

I strongly recommend that those without current membership organise it online prior to the event. It makes it much easier for the event organisers on the day to not have to worry about paperwork and membership money, when they're already busy enough organising an event for everyone to enjoy.
It's not difficult, it's gives you all the benefits of being a member, and it's also one less thing for you to worry about on the day too.
I'm sure Pete + Tim would appreciate this. |

Hi Jimbob,
Yep totally agree that some sort of membership card would be good - we are working towards that but the system isn't perfect at the moment
