Would like to think so but no it was my bad. Leaving fence line on starboard tack, just settling in and accelerating, caught right front rail and whoosh over I go, smack into the mast, winded and then later realising more serious. Even though I look like a dork with the buoyancy vest it prevented even worse damage!!!

Esplanade Pt Noarlunga South - smallest carpark with a Pergola just after Cliff Ave Can sail upwind to triggs if NNE - down wind to Seaford if NNW aor straight out the front if the waves are on there

Thanks russh... I have been off southport before but not that far down. Will have to give it a go another day as its too far to get back to work in the city... Or maybe I throw a sickie and get a doctor to write me a note saying I'm saline deficient....

Yep, Bugger it....You've convinced me russh...... Im ditching work for the arvo.... Gona head home, grab the gear and get stuck into this westerly.... Might go down to seacliff and frig around there a bit.... Is it big enough to go a 4.5 sail or still need a 5.6?

Snappers at Alldinga, is the best place in a westerly Personally, I find Seacliff to be unenjoyable in a straight westerly, wind direction running parallel to wave direction, not great, but still sailable, Now Seacliff in a SW, now ya talking!

Ended up at North Haven. Fabulous choice. Flat, windy and sunny. Perfecto! All inspired after watching the gurus down at middleton on saturday!! Grumpy, I gather that you didnt feel blessed by our presense in your chariot. Will buy you a softie or 4 at beachport, long weekend. Coming? I did get a sail on saturday morning down at boggies, but it was insanely windy and gusty, bone breaking weather apparently!!

Got down to seacliff at 3.15 and there was no wind.... was thoroughly disappointed..... so went down to south port and it was blowing a gale and the sea was rough as.... so after trying there a bit and getting blown around, we headed back to seacliff... Different place when we got back. strong wind with big waves too.... Got a few good runs in but like divaldo said... wind running parallel to the waves so made it a bit wobbly on the board.... Can't wait for beachport next weekend!
