Well I had a good few days down south. No action pics

, but here's a couple anyway with a rundown of how it went...
Flew into Launceston and headed along the north coast to Stanley.
Really nice area with crystal clear water and nice sandy beaches.
Saw a few guys out so quickly assembled boards and got the gear ready. Wind looked a bit dodgy so was going to go the 10 but settled for the 8. Wow, was it windy in the water!!! Getting dragged sideways with the kite at lunch! Made for a really fun freestyle strapless sesh in the chop.
Woke up early and the wind was pumping at Marrawah. Checked the coast for some cross-shore wind and settled on Greens Beach. Surf was around 5' and wind was enough for the 6m. Really nice conditions, best of the trip!
Then headed for Smithton for supplies when I got a call from Townie. He offered me a bed and dinner at his place. That arvo we went east along the north coast to a beach just out of Devonport. Wind was light and the surf was mushy onshore. Had half an hour before it got dark and the wind dropped with Brady and Chris. Was good to meet some more Seabreezer's.
Saturday we spent chasing the wind. Nothing along the north coast so headed west... Had a look at Bluff Reef but it was way to onshore and just looked like chop.
Checked out Lighthouse beach and the surf was pretty clean, pitty there were no rights coming through otherwise would've had a crack.
Settled back at Greens beach, was too underpowered and onshore to get out the back. Mucked around just off the beach for a bit before calling it.
Had a great time, a bit of a shame Seabreeze and BOM lied with its forecast/live readings.

Didn't get the cross-shore waves I was dreaming for, but a really nice way to spend the long weekend and explore some more of this beautiful country regardless. Might have to come back when its not so frontal for another go.

Big thanks to KiteDevil for putting me into contact with Townie. The bloke is a deadset LEGEND! Cheers for the hospitality and company mate, was great to spend the weekend with you.

ohhhh, and I thought Waveslave lived in WA???
