Hi all forum go'ers,
I am am a long time reader of the forum with very few posts. Not sure if this is legal, but I am sure you will let me know if its not - nicely I hope. :) I am on the hunt for my first longboard. After 30 years of surfing a shortboard, and recently borrowing a mates longboard to ride on occasion, I have decided to buy my own. Like most, I have a Minister of Finance that I have to get all finances from, hence me looking secondhand.
As I am looking to have a longboard quiver of one board, I have decided on an all rounder....
I am on the hunt for a McTavish Fireball Evolution or Evolution II, with dimensions 9"1'- 9"6' x 23" x 3"
I have been harassing 62mac already and he has been helpful. Any other hints, tips, contacts or advice is welcomed.
Cheers
Adam

Yeah a couple of good ones in Sydney. I live in Brisvegas. There is one in particular I would like to get in Sydney. I looked into Surfcargo to ship up, but it got to complicated as he stuck to the coast only and did not stop inner city Sydney to collect.

Been on the phone as you write 62mac. Nick from Surf Freight has sorted an option for me. I just need to try and work out the bits in between. But gee it would be nice if it was located local, I could see, feel, touch and look over it and then drive it home.

Nick from Surf Freight was very obliging and seemed like a top fella, however board was sold before I could get organised to get it collected. Oh well, back to the drawing board. So if anyboby knows of one looking for a new owner.....

Thanks stuk for keeping an eye out. I have ruled out the board at Montville as it is a Thailand import, and the only board I could on the Gold Coast was for $900 and it seemed very old and a little yellow. I am happy to be patient and find a good board not very old. My thoughts is that it would have to be a nice board not very old for $900+. Happy to pay a good price for a good board and if nothing comes up I will save my pennies and get a new one. Just thought I would try secondhand in the first instance.

Monzy what's the most you would spend on a second hand McT there could be a chance I've found one for you,9.3 x 23 x 3 this thing is in new condition and with current McT logos (new) not like the big M logo you were looking at.

The big McT logos were great.
You could spot the cashed up sea changer kooks so much easier.
LOL.

C'mon Mac,
I bet you're relieved (albeit secretly) that the logo was downsized.
I stand by my comment.
Doesn't demean those with the skills.

My first McTavish was a big M. 2nd one was a custom with little M's, when they were still doing big M's, but that was also at the point when they started scaling down.

You can still request the big M logo if you wish.
