Oct is not the best, if you could hold off until December/ January you will get wind 4 days a week.
you can check stats here baywx.com

In summer (dec feb) we get very good wind all around the map you see using link above.
Nov and march can be good too.

Outside of that you just have to rely on luck really.

The waves are along the cost near the "south channel" marker on either side. Best is torquay area on the left side.
other places that come to mind- philip island, point leo, point danger, RAF beach, point impossible, all around torquay as i said.

THE very BEST spot to visit in Victoria for kiting is SANDY POINT! Don't miss a chance to get there when its windy- nearly 3 hours from the city.waves and flat.

check websites 'wotif' for hotel deals- they put special deals and cheap options for most hotels on that site. If you want rent a place for a while try AIrBNB (you rent people homes while their away).

kite sizes are good.

Thank you very much for your tips.
When was the video attached made? In what month?

I have not seen any waves around there. What is the best wave spot for kiting?

The waves are about 40 metres behind my back in that video!!
I was kiting near the B marker:

www.google.com.au/maps?saddr=Sandy+Point+VIC+3959&daddr=Sandy+Point+Rd&hl=en&sll=-38.839908,146.165199&sspn=0.05716,0.132093&geocode=Fe2mr_0dtpu1CCnpL7EgCkoqazEQZ6AwpHkFBA;FchUr_0dXRG2CA&mra=mift&mrsp=1&sz=14&t=m&z=14

Waves: Torquay, philip island, Inverloch, Sandy point, Point leo, Gunnamatta rye back beach (bit hardcore) Google them.

I was soooo sick the day we made that but it was 25knots..all day , i had to kite. couldn't do any tricks as i had no energy haha.

The video was funny. Is it always that cold with you?

How big are the waves in these places? Good ones or difficult?
