Try the Airush ones they fit snug as. And aren't bulky they retail for $120. Worth the cash if you are worried about impacts.

I have neve4r tryed a impact vest due to it might constrict my movement. They do seem like a good idea though, helping prevent time off the water due to broken ribs. They also would provide some buoyancy for those long swims back.

all id say is go for it.I wear one now and its saved my ribs heaps.I broke my ribs and bruised my lungs from an impact on the water.I was back on the water after 4 weeks but with an impact vest.you dont even know you have one on.Trust me if i didnt have one on i'd have been back to the hospital a few more times. BROKEN RIBS HURT!!!!!!!!!!! just try sneezing with one

I ditched mine yesterday, it came up way too high on my neck! Although I was using a jet ski specific one and wearing a waist harness for the first time. It was all good with a seat harness though. Make sure you get a kite specfic impact vest that is ok with a waist harness.
