Gday, I bought a 2004 Airush Lift 18m not long ago, and have found that one of the bladder valves seems to have stretched so that the plastic plug doesn't seal very well.

Does anyone know where you could buy larger plugs, or a different a solution to this problem without buying a new bladder.

Cheers

contact your dealer

as long as you havent done something dumb to cause that to happen, then it is a defect of the kite and your dealer should be able to help you!?

Thanks Chief! That is perfect!

I have contacted Airush, but I bought it second-hand, and dont have a receipt for it. The guy that runs Airush Service has gone on holiday or something too... and wont be back till like, mid Semptember or something.... good service eh!

Thanks again!

Bladders are like any part of your kite and will wear over time.

Call me at Auswind 9245 4222 and i will do my best to sort it out for you. We have tons (literally) of spare bladders in stock and chances are very good that we have one for you. We are moving this weekend so please try and call me today - otherwise try 9244 4446 from monday onwards.

i have just recieved an email from the uk distributor - it would appear you initially contacted them by mistake - unless you are based in the UK , which i doubt as you are posting on this forum.

So you weren't actually speaking to the Australian distributor.

We take our reputation and level of service very seriously here in OZ so i was surprised to hear that our service department had closed - seeing as i am part of it and we are definitely here !

Give us a call - we'll get you sorted out !

Thanks mattressbuster, sorry didn't mean to go bagging anyone. I just filled in the automated 'Contact Us' link on the Airush website, there is no real indication where it would go. It was just a bit disappointing to get this automated email from them:

Dear All,
I'll be out of the office until Septembers 3rd. Your message will be attended to upon my return.

Best regards,
Tony.

Anyway, it's all sorted now. Thanks for your help, I will probably contact you soon over a leaking Cabrinha main bladder too.

Cheers

Another solution (not so neat) is to wrap electrical tape tightly around the outside of the valve (not the plug). Good solution for if you're at the beach and don't have boiling water on you.
