Hi y'all,

Craig and I have just returned from two weeks in balmy Cocos Islands. What a fantastic place! A huge lagoon, steady breeze, warm water and clear skies. We hit a week of wind-less conditions but nevertheless it was a fantastic place to explore, snorkel, fish and relax. I'm learning to kite and Cocos was a great place for this. Gorgeous crystal clear, WARM and shallow water for miles....If anyone is going and has spare room in their suitcase, please take me - i have to find a way to get back there. It was hard to get into the water at Melville on Sunday I tell you!

For info on kiting in Cocos:
www.cocos-solutions.com
www.pelicanwindsurfing.com.au (kiting)
www.2ndwind.com.au (windsurfing)

cheerio and congratulations on continuing to provide a fantastic site for wind users,

Hey I know what your saying about Cocos, what a pearl in the indian ocean, hopefully it want be over exposed and developed like other great island spots. I had no kite gear with me when I went and it was perfect cross onshore 15-18knots warm breezes and 30 degrees all day - what a bummer. this would make a great kite holiday with friends.
Enjoy riding, its all good

Laurie!!!!
What a star you are. Been to Cocos the last 3 years running......now I have to sit here and suffer looking at the wind. As for the rest of you, leave it alone, its mine!
