Anyone leave a board at Dolls Point (Botany - Sydney) tonight (16/12/04)? I found it. If you lost a board today tell me what it was and I'll let you know if it's the one I found.

By the way, anyone see the kite fly into the power lines this afternoon?

Hey Vic,

Did I hear you right about the kite to the power lines?

Did anyone give the fool a serving for this ?

What the F was he/she doing flying the kite towards land anyway?

With all councils around looking for a reason to place a ban, it's up to us local kiters to enforce safety.

We need to let kiters that break the safety code know that they are endangering access to the local area. Do we want to go the way of WA?

The girl who did it was arrested!
The neighbours were not happy.
her choice of place to launch was her first mistake, then she tried to launch a g-arc underinflated, the rest ended in flames and a power outage of around 2.5 hrs, the kite was burned in 2 pices

her partner has banned her from kiting at Dolls on her own, she has learned a hard lesson but we all need to take a more pro active approach because everyone commented she had been there for 10-15 mins attempting to launch the kite straight downwind underinflated, in the most narrow inappropriate spot on the beach.
All kiters at Dolls, and at every spot, need to take action when they see things like this, your continued access to your fav spot is at stake!

As horrific as this sounds (I feel like an @$$ to say this but) I feel more for the kite than anything else damit any kite thats not thrashed due to a trick/stunt is a waste.

NOW BEFORE ANYBODY COMES AND FLAMES ME WITH SAFETY AND BLAH BLAH BLAH THIS AND BLAH BLAH BLAH THAT - I do agree with danger dave that we should take a more proactive attitude.

Hi Victor,
An Underground Wavetray (white) I think it was 120 was lost over at Kirnell that afternoon and may have drifted over to Dolls. It had a large Kitepower sticker on the bottom.
Belongs to Russell.
Is this the one?
