The bolt which comes through the chicken loop and attaches to the centre lines via a welded loop on my bandit 2 has snapped. I'm told there is an upgrade to the chicken loop with an improved mechanism for centre line attachment. Has anyone heard of this and if so, is it any good and what should I expect to pay?
Cheers

That system you just mentioned is on the Bandit 3 bar, don't know what you'd pay but depending on the age of your Dos you might be able to replace your bolt for next to nothing. The only problem i've heard of with the 09 bar was that the plastic chicken loop base had broken on a small batch of kites. M8 (the distributors) were providing new ones under warranty.

I have done the mod.
You need to cut off the stainless loop that your line ataches to, remove the metal ring from the safety line both of these lines are then pushed through the new UPS(chicken loop) a small pin then is put through your centre line and pulled up to locate in the UPS and you re atach the metal ring to your safety. Job done only takes about ten minutes, mostly in cutting of the old loop be careful not to cut or nick the line, slowly is the way to go.
the new chicken loop has the same velcro safety but a swing out dik on the other side much better It will also locate in the bar you have.

Wax's spot on its easy change over, I've put the 2010 UPS on my 2009 gear as there were too many breakages and it has solved the problem and really easy to do. not sure on the cost.
