a new self cleaning toilet block is up for consideration at lucky bay ,
we need to send individual emails to [email protected] supporting this idea .
the locals have blocked this before , we need to put pressure on melville so that it becomes a reality.

You should sell up and move to bogansville. That tecnoligy of a toilet was introduced in the early 90,s

Even if you don't sail please get behind this great idea. Lucky Bay is a great family spot but the lack of a toilet makes it tough when the family tag along for a days sailing.

There's one at Glenelg in Adelaide. It tells you how much time you have left in a female voice "you have two minutes left", which:

a) scares the **** out of you (perhaps that is by design)
b) makes you wonder what will happen when your time is up.

Always thought you lucky bay sailors were closet toilet loiterers
This just confirms it.
Good luck with the petition. I don't think the residents are that keen on watersports full stop (they definitely have a thing about kiters).
The only downside will the less room in the car park as families come down more often as it's more user friendly.

I think you spelt Glenelg backwards?
And does a self cleaning dunny mean that it hoses itself down? Like a fire sprinkler hanging from the roof?

yep and smelling very sweet...... from memory it had some type of floor weight sensor thing to tell if someone was in it. but it's timed so it wouldn't let her out and i was down on money standing on the other side of the door.

they had 2 types over there. (10 years back now)

one was the public box that times you and kicks you out then dissinfects the room and toilet. (my wifes favourite)

the other was a little mechanical device that extended onto the seat. the seat rotated after use and gets cleaned. i think it was a macdonalds that had that one.

go the germans!

So she dumped so much weight, that it then didn't notice she was in there?

I think you guys need to increase the public displays of bodily functions. Try and be within sight of the big group on the balcony sipping chardonnay. They might rethink the benefits of a having a dunny block there for you.

Slightly related story from last week. I was renovating a farm house in the middle of nowhere with the owner as a TA. I was up on the roof most of one day so rather than climb down to pee, I just went to the opposite side to where he was. I guess he had to eventually spot me. He was only miffed because I was on the side that filled his water tank

I think in our submissions we need to emphasize the point that lack of a toilet causes watersports users to eliminate in the river...
That should sway the locals.
