i have seen a kite surfer on the lake once he did maybe two runs across lake & gave up.I dont know why, maybe the trees are a problem .It was really windy maybe it was too much.Hope they dont start there.

Yeah, saw that guy yesterday too. Got himself into a bit of trouble I think.

Even if it's not banned there - which I'd say it would be - why would you want to kitesurf there? There are too many trees to get stuck on, nowhere to safely launch and land and the wind can be really gusty.

I don't think he'll be back to the lake in a hurry...

Your right there Andrew. Saw a couple fo guys awhile back walk out and launch from the Jamieson Park side. Long trek too carrying all that crap.
The wind droped and they spent ages walking/dragging back down from Pipeclay Pt to their cars. Not recommended!!!
The place is crowded enough and hard enough as it is.
