Wife and I are good surfers, mal riders and kiters and have grown up in the ocean and are getting our first SUP.

We dont want a beginner SUP that we will out grow when we get to a better level. But a pro board may be too hard to learn on.

Will be for small to 6ft waves and getting less fat in the winter....

Can you suggest which board to get?

9 10 11 12?

Über Fish?
McTavish?
Walden?
NSP?

Mid 9's any of the major brands , custom would also be a good option for you.

Chris, The best advice I can give is find a local dealer who specialises in SUP and has a demo fleet so you can try different boards.

Weight, height, skill, local conditions and what you want from SUP are the crucial factors.

There is so much choice out there and a lot of crap.

Check the forum as well for the most talked about brands.

Enjoy the journey!
