Warning Summary at issue time
A Strong Wind Warning is current for waters between Torres Strait and Cairns.
A Strong Wind Warning has been issued for remaining waters between Cairns and St
Lawrence.

Weather Situation
A high [1031 hPa] over the Great Australian Bight will move slowly east during
the next few days, extending a strengthening ridge over much of Queensland. A
complex low pressure system is moving rapidly southeastwards over the Tasman
Sea.

Peninsula Waters, Torres Strait to Cooktown:
A Strong Wind Warning is current.
Sunday until midnight: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots. Seas: 3 metres
outside the reef, and 2.2 metres inside the reef. Swell: Southeasterly 1.5
metres outside the reef. Isolated showers.
Monday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots. Seas: 3 metres outside the reef,
and 2.2 metres inside the reef. Swell: Southeasterly 1.5 to 2 metres outside the
reef. Isolated showers.
Tuesday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots.

North Tropical Waters, Cooktown to Cardwell:
A Strong Wind Warning is current for waters north of Cairns. A Strong Wind
Warning has been issued for waters south of Cairns.
Sunday until midnight: Winds: North of Cairns: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots.
South of Cairns: South to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots, tending southeasterly 25
to 30 knots from the south during the afternoon. Seas: 2.2 to 3 metres outside
the reef, and 1.7 to 2.2 metres inside the reef. Swell: Southeasterly 1.5 metres
outside the reef. Isolated showers.
Monday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots. Seas: 2.2 to 3 metres outside the
reef, and 1.7 to 2.2 metres inside the reef. Swell: Southeasterly 1.5 to 2
metres outside the reef. Isolated showers.
Tuesday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots.

Tropical Waters, Cardwell to Bowen:
A Strong Wind Warning has been issued.
Sunday until midnight: Winds: South to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots, increasing
to southeasterly 25 to 30 knots from the south during the afternoon. Seas: 2.2
metres in open waters, increasing to 3 metres during the afternoon. Swell: Less
than 1.5 metres. Isolated showers.
Monday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots. Seas: 3 metres in open waters.
Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Isolated showers.
Tuesday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots.

Central Coast Waters, Bowen to St Lawrence:
A Strong Wind Warning has been issued.
Sunday until midnight: Winds: South to southeasterly 20 to 25 knots, increasing
to southeasterly 25 to 30 knots from the south during the morning. Seas: 2.2
metres, increasing to 3 metres during the morning. Swell: Less than 1.5 metres.
Isolated showers.
Monday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots. Seas: 3 metres in open waters.
Swell: Less than 1.5 metres. Isolated showers.
Tuesday: Winds: Southeasterly 25 to 30 knots.
