Weather Situation
A high over southeastern Australia will move slowly east, extending a weakening
ridge northwards over Queensland.

Torres Strait

Forecast for Tuesday 22 July until midnight
Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5
to 2 metres outside the reef later in the evening. Swell: East to southeasterly
below 1 metre outside the reef.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 July
Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres. Swell: East
to southeasterly below 1 metre outside the reef.

Forecast for Thursday 24 July
Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 25 knots turning easterly 15 to 20 knots in the
afternoon. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the
morning. Swell: East to southeasterly around 1 metre outside the reef.

Forecast for Friday 25 July
Winds: Easterly 15 to 20 knots turning southeasterly during the morning. Seas:
1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres outside the reef during the
evening. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres outside
the reef.

Peninsula Coast: Sharp Point to Cape Melville

Forecast for Tuesday 22 July until midnight
Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres. Swell:
Southeasterly below 1 metre outside the reef.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 July
Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing
to 1 to 2 metres later in the evening. Swell: Southeasterly below 1 metre
outside the reef.

Forecast for Thursday 24 July
Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 25 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing
to 1 to 2 metres outside the reef. Swell: East to southeasterly around 1 metre
outside the reef.

Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 25 knots. Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing

Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to

reef.

Winds: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to
1.5 metres around midday, then increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres later in the

Winds: East to southeasterly 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 1 to 2 metres, decreasing to
1.5 metres during the morning. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre outside the reef.

Cairns Coast: Cape Tribulation to Cardwell

Forecast for Tuesday 22 July until midnight
Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to
1.5 metres north of Innisfail by early evening. Swell: Southeasterly below 1
metre outside the reef.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 July
Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots north of Innisfail
during the afternoon and evening. Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5
metres north of Innisfail. Swell: Southeasterly below 1 metre outside the reef.

Winds: East to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell:
Southeasterly below 1 metre outside the reef.

Forecast for Friday 25 July

Winds: East to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: Around 1 metre. Swell: Below
0.5 metres.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 July
Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of
Cape Bowling Green in the late morning and early afternoon. Seas: Around 1
metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres later in the evening. Swell: Easterly
below 1 metre outside the reef.

Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning easterly in the morning. Seas:
Around 1 metre. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre outside the reef.

Winds: Southeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore south of
Mackay in the evening. Winds turning easterly in the evening. Seas: Around 1
metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore south of Mackay during the
afternoon. Swell: Easterly below 1 metre offshore.
