A strong high over SE parts of Australia is forecast to move east and weaken
rapidly, easing the ridge along the Queensland east coast.

Swell: SE 1.5 through the Capricorn Channel.
Weather: Scattered showers.

Winds: SE 25 to 30 knots, decreasing to 15 to 25 knots in the afternoon.

Weather Situation - Queensland Gulf of Carpentaria
A strong high over southeastern Australia extends a firm ridge into Gulf of
Carpentaria waters. The ridge will gradually relax during the next few days as
the high centre weakens and shifts north towards southeastern Queensland.
