strengthen slightly over the next few days.

Weather Situation - Queensland Gulf of Carpentaria
A weak ridge of high pressure lies along the east coast. A new high will move
east into the Tasman Sea during Monday, reinforcing the ridge.

A weak ridge of high pressure lies along the east coast. A new high will move
east into the Tasman Sea during Monday, reinforcing the ridge.

Weather Situation - South Queensland
A weak ridge of high pressure extends along the east coast. Northerly winds
will freshen over southern waters as a surface trough moves east over the
interior of the state on Saturday. The trough and an associated southeasterly
wind change will move north through southern Queensland waters during Sunday. A
new high will then move east into the Tasman Sea during Monday.

Forecast for Friday 31 October until midnight
Winds: Northwest to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots at
times inshore. Seas: Below 1 metre. Weather: Clear.

Winds: North to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots at times
in the morning. Winds tending northwest to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the
