Coastal Waters Forecast for South Australia
Issued at 3:30 pm CDT on Sunday 14 March 2010

Synoptic Situation
At 1500 Sunday a 1038 hPa high was centred east of Tasmania. This high will
remain centred over the Tasman Sea through to Tuesday. A low pressure trough
will move into far western waters late Tuesday.

Far West Coast:
Sunday until midnight : Wind: N/NE 10/15 knots. Local afternoon and early
evening seabreezes 8/13 knots. Sea: 0.5 to 1.5 m. Swell: S around 1 m.
Monday : Wind: N/NE 13/18 knots. Afternoon sea breezes 10/15 knots. Isolated
thunderstorms. Sea: 0.5 to 1.5 m. Swell: SW around 1 m.
Tuesday : Wind: N/NE 10/20 knots, shifting S/SW 10/20 knots in the far west
during the late evening.
Wednesday : Wind: NE/SE 5/15 knots becoming S/SE 10/20 knots during the
afternoon and evening.

West Coast:
Sunday until midnight : Wind: N/NE 13/18 knots. Isolated thunderstorms. Sea: 1
to 1.5 m. Swell: S/SW around 1 m.
Monday : Wind: E/NE 13/18 knots. Afternoon sea breezes 8/13 knots. Isolated
thunderstorms. Sea: 1 to 1.5 m. Swell: SW 0.5 to 1 m.
Tuesday : Wind: N/NE 10/20 knots. Afternoon sea breezes 5/15 knots.
Wednesday : Wind: NE/SE 5/15 knots becoming S/SE 10/20 knots in the afternoon
and evening.

Gulf Waters:
Sunday until midnight : Wind: N/NE 13/18 knots. Local seabreezes 8/13 knots
until early evening. Isolated thunderstorms. Sea: 0.5 to 1 m. Swell: S/SW 0.5 to
1 m on southern Spencer Gulf.
Monday : Wind: N/NE 8/13 knots. Afternoon sea breezes 8/13 knots. Isolated
thunderstorms. Sea: around 0.5 m. Swell: S/SW 0.5 m on southern Spencer Gulf.
Tuesday : Wind: N/NE 5/15 knots. Afternoon and early evening seabreezes 5/15
knots.
Wednesday : Wind: N/NE 5/15 knots. Afternoon and early evening seabreezes 5/15
knots.

South Central Coast:
Sunday until midnight : Wind: N/NE 10/15 knots, reaching 15/20 knots south and
west of Kangaroo Island. Local afternoon sea breezes 5/10 knots. Isolated
thunderstorms. Sea: 0.5 to 1 m, reaching 1.5 m south and west of Kangaroo
Island. Swell: S/SW around 1 m.
Monday : Wind: N/NE 10/15 knots. Afternoon sea breezes 5/10 knots. Isolated
thunderstorms. Sea: 0.5 m, rising to 1 m offshore. Swell: SW 0.5 to 1 m.
Tuesday : Wind: NE/NW 10/20 knots. Afternoon sea breezes 5/15 knots.

South East Coast:
