Coastal Waters Forecast for South Australia

Weather Situation
A ridge over coastal waters will weaken and move east ahead of a trough moving
over western coasts today and remaining coasts on Sunday. A new ridge will
become established over the the state following the trough.

Far West Coast: WA-SA Border to Fowlers Bay
Strong wind warning for Saturday and Sunday for Far West Coast.

Forecast for Saturday 4 February until midnight
Strong wind warning for Saturday for Far West Coast
Winds: East to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots reaching 20 knots at times, tending
south to southwesterly 20 to
30 knots during the afternoon. Seas: 0.5 to 1.5 metre increasing to 2 to 3
metres by early evening. Swell:
Southwesterly about 2 metres.

Forecast for Sunday 5 February
Strong wind warning for Sunday for Far West Coast
Winds: South to southwesterly 20 to 30 knots decreasing to 20 to 25 knots
around midday then becoming
southerly 15 to 20 knots later in the evening. Seas: 2 to 3 metres decreasing
to 2 metres during the morning.
Swell: Southwesterly 2 to 3 metres.

Forecast for Monday 6 February
Winds: South to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots. Seas: Below 1 metre. Swell:
Southwesterly 2 to 3 metres.

the evening. Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 to 3 metres increasing to 3 to 4 metres
in the afternoon and evening. The chance of thunderstorms until around midday.

southwesterly 30 to 40 knots during the afternoon, then easing to 20 to 30
knots during the evening. Seas:
Below 1 metre increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres during the morning, and further to
3 to 4 metres during the
afternoon. Swell: Southwesterly about 2 metres increasing to 3 to 4 metres in
the afternoon and evening. The chance of thunderstorms until late afternoon.
