Synoptic Situation
Broad trough of low pressure inland from the west coast. A new high developing
west of the state will result in freshening S/SW flow during the day on Monday.

Forecasts:
Monday until midnight: S/SW winds 8/13 knots increasing to 15/20 knots in the
afternoon. Seas 1.0m rising to 1.5m. Swell to 2.5m.
Swell at Cottesloe: to 0.6m.
Winds on Melville Water: Similar.

Tuesday: S/SE winds 15/20 knots tending S/SW 20/30 knots in the afternoon. Seas
1.5m to 2.0m. Swell to 2.0m.
Wednesday: E/SE winds 15/20 knots easing to 10/15 knots late morning before
shifting S/SW 18/23 knots during the afternoon.

Current Swell Observations:
Rottnest Waverider Buoy: 2.37m.
Cottesloe Waverider Buoy: 0.7m.

Kalbarri to Jurien Bay: (Including GERALDTON)
Monday until midnight: S/SW winds 10/15 knots increasing to 18/23 knots in the
afternoon Seas 1.0m rising to 1.5m. Swell to 2.5m.
Tuesday: S/SE winds 20/25 knots tending S/SW 20/30 knots in the afternoon. Seas
1.5m to 2.0m. Swell to 2.0m.
Wednesday: S/SE winds 20/25 knots tending E/SE 15/20 knots by dawn and S'ly
winds 20/25 knots in the afternoon.

Jurien Bay to Mandurah: (Including LANCELIN & CERVANTES)
Monday until midnight: S/SW winds 8/13 knots increasing to 15/20 knots in the
afternoon. Seas 1.0m rising to 1.5m. Swell to 2.5m.
Tuesday: S/SE winds 15/20 knots tending S/SW 20/30 knots in the afternoon. Seas
1.5m to 2.0m. Swell to 2.0m.
Wednesday: E/SE winds 15/20 knots easing to 10/15 knots late morning before
shifting S/SW 18/23 knots during the afternoon.

Mandurah to Cape Leeuwin: (Including MARGARET RIVER)
Monday until midnight: S'ly winds 10/15 knots tending SW 15/20 knots in the
afternoon. Seas 1.0m to 1.5m. Swell 3.0m easing to 2.0m.
Tuesday: S/SE winds 15/20 knots. Seas to 1.5m. Swell to 2.5m.
Wednesday: E/SE winds 10/15 knot shifting S/SW 13/18 knots during the afternoon.

Cape Leeuwin to Bremer Bay: (Including ALBANY)
Monday until midnight: NW/NE winds 8/13 knots shifting NW/SW 10/15 knots during
the morning and increasing to 15/20 knots from the west from late morning. Seas
1.0m to 1.5m. Swell 3.0m easing to 2.0m from the west later.
Tuesday: S/SW winds 13/18 knots tending S/SE 10/15 knots in the evening. Seas
1.0m to 1.5m. Swell to 2.5m.
Wednesday: Winds becoming N'ly 10/15 knots for a period in the morning and SW/SE
10/15 knots in the afternoon.

Bremer Bay to Israelite Bay: (Including ESPERANCE)
Monday until midnight: NE/NW winds 10/15 knots at first ahead of a S/SW change
10/15 knots extending throughout by the afternoon. S/SW winds increasing to
15/20 knots during the afternoon. Seas 1.0m to 1.5m. Swell to 2.5m.
Tuesday: S/SW winds 15/20 knots. Seas to 1.5m. Swell to 2.0m.
Wednesday: SE/NE winds 8/13 knots tending S/SE 10/15 knots in the afternoon and
E/SE 10/15 knots in the evening.

Israelite Bay to SA Border:
Monday until midnight: N/NE winds 13/18 knots shifting E/SE 10/15 knots inshore
for a period in the afternoon and early evening. Winds tending N/NE 15/20 knots
late evening. Seas 1.0m to 1.5m. Swell rising to 2.0m.
Tuesday: N'ly winds 20/25 knots ahead of a S/SW change 20/25 knots in the far
west extending east to reach the SA Border by evening. N'ly winds easing to
10/15 knots in the east for a period in the afternoon ahead of the change. Seas
1.0m to 2.0m. Swell to 1.5m.
Wednesday: S/SE winds grading from 13/18 knots in the west of 18/23 knots in the
east.
