SYNOPTIC ANALYSIS
|
SYNOPTIC SITUATION:
A high pressure ridge is building over the south of the state. An onshore
southwest airstream has brought isolated showers to the south and Eucla coasts.
On Monday expect a strong high pressure system to be located over the
Goldfields. Other than isolated morning showers along the Eucla coast expect
fine weather through the state. A cold morning with areas of frost is likely
over southern inland areas early Monday morning. In the north of the state
expect fresh and gusty southeast winds in the morning.

PROGNOSIS
|
FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS:
On Tuesday a weak cold front will approach the SW Capes. Isolated showers should
develop about the southwest capes and gradually extend through the SW District
into adjacent parts of the Lower West, Great Southern and South Coastal
districts. Showers in the SW District will become scattered later in the day.
Fine in other parts of the state with once again fresh easterly winds in the
north.
On Wednesday the weak front should bring isolated morning showers to the
southern half of the SW Land Division. In the afternoon the isolated showers
should contract to the south and Eucla coasts. Fine weather should continue in
the north of the state.
On Thursday a deep depression is forecast to develop off the west coast. Expect
showers to develop at first in the Lower West and Southwest Districts gradually
extending to remaining SW districts during the day. Showers should increase in
western districts later in the day with isolated thunderstorms. It is likely to
become quite windy over the southwest of the state.
