ICARUS uses the bullet real time physics engine to simulate the interaction of thermals (columns of rising air) across the whole wing. This demo reel shows some realistic rocking and rolling (plus pitching and yawing) from the turbulent wind shear of entering / exiting the edge of a thermal. The pilot enters the thermal just above the lake. By turning sharply inside the thermal zone, they are soon able to climb up to the mountain top altitude. Such a climb starting from low to the ground is called a "low save" and the turbulent movement is known as a "sporty" ride.
