Double or Nothing was produced by Jonathan Weston in 1992 on the Island of Maui (Associate Producers, Herb Squires, Robert Ramacher). The movie starred Jason Prior and his sidekick, Francisco Goya, with many cameos by the stars of our sport. The storyline follows the first arrival of windsurfers to Maui with comical trials and tribulations to follow, as well as the pursuit of windsurfing's holy grail, the double loop. The video, with all water footage shot on film, was marked by a helicopter crash into the waters of Sprecklesville in which Weston barely survived, a 200k dollar camera that did not. Mickey Eskimo just missed being landed on by the chopper. Though our actors rarely and barely followed script, at the time of writing it, nobody had ever completed a double loop.
