yesterday that I won an argument against you

Doggie is fairly familiar around these traps. And my somewhat exaggerated opinions can get tested when he disagrees with me.
For example, his slaughtering of my precious foxes, I had to exercise my arguments, find something that I thought backed up my claim, and attempted to arrange these arguments and sources into a workable argument. I learnt what works and what doesn't. (Pictures of cute foxes didn't work at all

).
Even if I made zero progress, I still had to lay down my best possible arguments, even if they were terrible..
Was I right, not 100%, did I change Doggies mind, no way.. But I did challenge my convictions, learn a few facts, and generally had a chuckle at the whole episode.
Doggie might even learn to do more than just link a whole wikipedia page.. Eventually

What I don't understand is people who will not argue because it's apparently useless. If everybody never challenged their ideas then nobody would change them. Almost as bad as the people who can't be bothered to form an opinion on something at all!
