Sorry slightly miss-leading - only loaded guts from the text section not the HTML - a lot of formatting crap scrapped from a PPal front page...

TITLE / HEADER BITS...
From:"PayPal" <[email protected]>
Subject: FW:You just sent a payment to Agnes Peterson
The hook....:

Resolution Centre</a><span style="color: rgb(204, 204, 204);"> | </span><a href="http://dealaddict.ch/zvo8ioak/index.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">

I did not download into O/Look ****- assuming the links in the image (HTML) would take you to a dummy PPal front end U log-in they record the details...
With the SMS even if U made this mistake - they would not get the SMS which is sent to your phone before U can get into do mischief...

Cheers
AP

**** -I vet all email using a text reader and trash before HTML /Active X etc gets triggered...

You get an email from paypal. "Receipt for your payment to XYZ"

It contains details of a recent purchase you made, except you didn't actually recently purchase anything.

You quickly click on the link to see the details, log in, and now they have your login because the link didn't actually take you to PayPal.

It's a pretty good one actually. [}:)]

That "... click on this link ..." is the oldest and most common scam there is. You never ever click on a link in an email unless you know exactly what it is about.

A sneakier one is where they send you spam to buy stuff you might actually have bought on ebay (electronics etc). You click on the unsubscribe link and it takes you to a web site and downloads a trojan that can do any number of bad things.

The old rule still rings true. Know ur financial institution website address and type it in to you browser. Never press a link to your bank, or pay pal that shows up in your email inbox. Always pay through the links provided at the online shop front your searching. Or you're a target in open territory.
