Your topic head - another bueatifull Danny movie - says it all

We have three generations in our family who love the Danny's films for his skill and the quality of the film making. An added bonus is reasonable music rather than crap nu metal that defines extreme sport vids - this is not the first time they have used the Jezebels

That first action shot in this film is just breathtaking - great tracking shot

I find his clips a bit too moody, not really my cup of tea. But if I was half the bike rider he is then the trees lining my favorite trails would be slightly less scarred...

I like the moody. I am bored to death with the thrash metal, hard core, yo dude, action clip.

What I find a bit odd is I recently watched the Australian trials championships, and it was a bit of a bore. The individual moves are outstanding. But in between you've got some sweaty dude standing on a bike, hopping up and down in one place, and eventually missing whatever they're trying to get over.

Danny's clips have got all this flow and movement and are beautiful to watch. Is it all just editing? Or does he ride with some of that flow and energy?

I saw a trials demo the other day and agree with you, I think the rules they use discourage creativity. I don't think it's editing, the key difference in Danny's riding is actually linking up a bunch of manoeuvres through which he carries momentum, the typical trials rider would stop several times crossing the same obstacles and gaps Danny does without pause.

Most of the flow you speak of is editing, your clue is at the end of the clip with the very briefl outtake section. I saw a long outtake selection from a few of his older clips, still a greatly skilled rider, don't get me wrong.
