First up joint lcool web site. (link below) this is the best place for toejoe owners.
Here is how you set it up. Roughly anyway from what I recall. I havet seen the inside of a toejoe diff, so hope its like any other
Set the crown wheel into place and pre-load/tension crown wheel bearings to spec. then fit the pinion into place, move the pinion in until the back of the pinion lines up with the front of the wheel (feel with fingers). The pinion in real terms is a segmented in geographical form, a part duplicate of the wheel. If it doesn't fit all the way in, or goes in too far, adjust the wheel away, or in, to get it into place. (loose one side, tighten the other).
With some drag on the wheel (bit of pine timber)and some form of paint on the wheel teeth, turn the pinion in forward motion. You should have good mid contact mark on the crown wheel teeth, evident by marks in your paint surface. If the marks are too far down in the tooth profile (too much toe) then move the wheel away from the pinion. Easy to remember, if too much toe, the wheel must go.
Reverse if its well up on the leading edge, move the wheel in towards the pinion.
Now in saying all this, you can bugger it up real easy, and have a diff that sh1ts the tin very soon, or whines like a bastard. Get a rebuilt job, or a shop to set it up for you if in any doubt.
If you are happy with set up, lock the bearing retainers in place with lock tabs or wire. Get somebody to check your work, and slam it back into the toejoe for a test run.
BIG!!! hint, buy the best oil you can afford. Don't buy junk oils.
Best of luck
Double check Utube, there will be some zyloom who has put this in on complete set up from start to finish.
