Maybe it was the disappointment of last years crap season but in my 20+ years of windsurfing and 3 years of kiting, this season has got to be up there with the best ever.
It seems like we're getting 2-3 20 knot noreasters a week and a couple of days of howling southerlies. It's so good I find myself being fussy about when to get on the water.
Looks like another early departure form work again today...and tomorrow...

Robo, agreed, it's a great season - i'm getting out 2 or 3 times a week with sails under 6m...

That sounds great! Any change of the conditions lasting through February and March??

I’m going on a maternity leave to Sydney in Feb-March and am bringing my kit. I don’t expect you guys to be weather wizards, but based on your Sydney experiences, can I expect to get some decent sailing in??
To maximize number of sailing days I’ve decided to bring a 105 litre with sails from 6.9 – 5.0. Would have been more fun with a smaller board, but afraid I’ll end up with to much time (and frustration) on the beach waiting for better days… Any opinions/advice will be highly appreciated.

thank you very much, merry christmas and a happy new year to you to mr chairman again it looks like another windless, sultry chrissy period for us on the goldcoast [}:)]

i just had a great day at inverloch in 25+ knots again (and 30 degrees this time). I was surprised how many windsurfers there are there - there were probably at least 20 out over the 5 hours i was out. i'll make sure i bring some wind back with me when i return

i've posted some up for wednesday arvo, but the post office insisted on stamping "strong wind warning" on the box, so you only have a 50/50 chance of receiving it
