The only disappointment about Halle Berry was she kept begging me for more. Begging is unbecoming.

There is no comparison.

One is warm, can get wet n slippery, and smells of fish.
The other comes wrapped in newspaper and tastes nice.

Anyway I digress.

Ciccerello's in Freo.

Fish and Chip shop owners take note:

Can not deny that Australia has the best fish in world, BUT could do better on the chips though.

chips should be fried in dripping / lard then left in the warmer for at least 45 minutes to allow the fat to coagulate.

when the chip softens - it is ready to serve in a plastic tray with a wooden fork. Drowned in either gravy or currysauce and a sideserve of mushypeas if you are posh.

Is it the accent that gave it away

I think the whole "chips with curry sauce" was the big give away

Miller you are on drugs. Say the word CHIP out aloud everybody (New Zillanders don't bother this won't work ). Listen to the sound of the word CHIP. It sounds crispy doesn't it? The noise it should make when it snaps = "chip"
Soggy chips are just an unhealthy version of roast potatoes!!! Poms have no idea (as do most fish n chip shops). They should be golden amber coloured (not pastel yellow) and crunchy (just).

Best chips ever were the re-fries done at the Peli Point food van in about 1990-93. After a while in the warmer, when a customer came he'd stick them back in the fryer for about 30sec and they'd be bl00dy superb. Chicken salt too... mandatory.

Can you all tell I'm fat???

The noise it should make when it snaps = "chip" ??????????????

I've munched on a million aussie chips and none have them gone ''CHIP '' when I have bitten into them, even maccers french fries!!!!! maybe they should change the name to ........? i can't even think of a word that sounds like a chip breaking in half.

OK, thats me done...I'm off to the BottleO to get a slab of SOL. yay!

No it shouldnt. I work at a fish n chip shop, and cooking crumbed fish is a bitch. Big time. Sometimes people order 6+ serves of crumbed fish, thats over 18pieces. Tempting to tell em "Come over here and cook it, or piss off". It only takes 5mins in the fryer, but i have to crumb it all, flip it all, drain it all, and box all of it up.
It does taste good though.
