Anyone been bitten in the last wk or so by lice(or some such thing)in the lake(Narrabeen)? Spent a tad more time in the water on Wednesday last and have been scratchin' like mad ever since. Does any body know what the hell they are and what's the best remedy to stop the itch?

It's not just the last week or so; try the last 20 years or so.
I can't remember ever not being bitten in there (except in winter if I was wearing a steamer, or it was too cold for them to open their mouths).

Showering off as soon as you get out of the water will stop most of the problem.

so qwerty u have had crabs for 20 years, Id think it would be hard to catch any STD wearing a steamer.
