its just a fuel cell with a fancy name? so its basically internal combustion but a bit more efficient.... hardly "green" or renewable, well depending on what you run it on anyway.
also should be mentioned... current fossil fuel power stations get pretty close to the bloom boxes claimed efficiency levels.
its not a silver bullet, but it has potential. end of the day, it's only ever going to be a temporary solution.
so it's about as efficient as plugging into the grid... but that's good if it's local, isn't it?
No, the argument they make is that it is more efficient than the generation and
transmission from existing power plants. I.e. you are better off because of the power losses in the transmission path.
I wonder if its that efficient why energy providers are not going to deploy these type of things themselves across their networks.
