Lucky there was water in the river.

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8399970/terror-bungee-fall-like-being-slapped-tourist

In fact, if you don't believe it then see it on U choob. (so it must be true)

"Felt like being slapped" eh?
I might just hop and and insult somebody until they give me a good slapping.
That way I'll know what it felt like without paying for the bungee jump.
Are slappings fatal?

Glad this chick is OK. She is real lucky... Looks like the cord broke after she'd already slowed a fair bit... Could have been all over for her otherwise.

The reporting (NINE) around this is so dumb:

- Icy cold water

- Crocodile infested

Errrmmmm, it's the Zambezi... It was like a bath when I was there in mid-November. Oh, and any crocodile infestation means that they have survived the >100 m drop off Vic Falls.

^^then the raging torrent of water and rapids she gets sucked down while her feet are tied together

[edit] they'll probably make it a new sport now where they attach a shearpin which breaks on a certin amount force and you freefall the rest of the way to the water

Been there and gone down the rapids on a bodyboard. All i can tell you is that it is a hell of a long way down from that bridge and the rapids are grade 4-5 most of the way down. Very very lucky girl!
