Hey all,

I use a motorcycle 90% of the time.... but I'm after a bunky car to get my kitegear and myself to the beach... and maybe home.

I'm looking for a stationwagon or van... something that can fit gear in and 2 people.

Whats reliable that will cost about $1500 or less.
I must say the old volvo wagons look like they have a lot of room... but do they break easily?

What would you buy?

I got an old commodore, $800, spent about $200 fixing exhaust and a few small things.
Almost no rust, legal tyres, engine and gearbox OK, only thing now is a noisy diff, (discovered that when I replaced the muffler), just not sure how bad/important it is.

i got an old 1978 ford falcon XC station wagon, Got it for basically nothing, but extreemly easy to maintain, engine is as tough as rocks and never breaks down, (did catch on fire once though)

if you can find a older wagon, with 250crossflow all you will need to do spend 500-1100 getting it back up and running and youll be set for years to come.

I love my wagon,

Heres a pic

I have obviously spent alot of time and money on it since getting it, But she's lovely

these where taken before buffing and polishing

I ended up getting a very cheap 89 Toyota Tarago RV.
It should make a nice kite bunky :)
