Non water-sport cardio work outs; what do you like to do?

Just putting the word out to see what you're all doing; I'm looking for something fun to do off the water (exercise or activity) to supplement the exercise done kiting, a good ole fat-busting and clothes soaking cardio work out.
I reckon with all the fit people on here, there should be a good variety of activities going on.

Is there such a thing as a fun cardio work out?
Is there a cardio activity you do that's so much fun that you don't look at it as exercise?

Anyone care to share?
The more the merrier

Cycling - throw in some long hills for increased cardio...

Going one-on-one with my 13yo son (who's already 6'1") at basketball... he smashes me every time!!

+1 for cycling.
I try to do 1x60k 1x80k 1x100k plus my usual 40km in and out of work every week
Doesn't always work out due to time constraints and not getting up early enough.

Ride in a big group every sat which is soooo much fun.
Nothing like crusing along pushing as hard as you go watching the sun come up....

Riding to work is good, I used to do it everyday, it was only a 44km round trip, but slackness (my own) and time restraints didn't work in my favour

HAHA!
It's a fine line though, too much conserving shortens it's work life too

social sports are great in my opinion, i play beach volleyball and used to play touch footy and its a great way to have fun and stay fit.

I also cycling to and from work. Its cheaper, faster and more convenient then public transport or driving, and a great way to get a daily dose of activity in. But I wouldn't call it fun, I do it for convenience, rather then any enjoyment.

I used to play a lot of indoor beach volley ball; that game rocks!

It's also a good excuse to wear boardies year round

But alas, too many wayward team mates brough it all to a stop.

But to get a full cardio work out, it must be hardcore drunken sex with a german backpacker in the back of a wicked van and her boyfriend must bust you and chase you for 500m.

OK, so we've got cycling, beach volleyball and other team sports, sex (with & without partners) and the aussie rip cord work out.

I thought there might have been something a little different come out rather than the stock standard cardio work outs.

Anyone doing free running (parkour) or anything else a bit out of the ordinary?

My 13yo son does 'amatuer' level parkour and his strength, balance and jumping have improved amazingly... He also does a bit of indoor rock/wall climbing etc... I'll have to get back into the Gym soon otherwise I'm gonna lose my position as alpha male real soon

Boxing cardio group at the surf club in the off season but crikey you put a limit on it with the off the water work outs. Soft sand running, sand dunes, hills.

Unless it's on, in or beside the water I have never stuck at any kind of training though and I train at least 5 mornings per week.

i'm totally with you on that one...
my picks for this winter are: skating and street trials
or when raining - rockclimbing, exercise bike and gym...
i'd love to get into street trials but short on cash at the moment... those bikes are not cheap...
