Settlers of Catan. Boardgame.

Also Battleship Galaxies. Another boardgame. 13+ but my 7 y/o is playing it fine. Winning too damn it.

...and this.

I think I actually want this! The user submitted photos sum it up best. Hours of fun.

I bought my Mum an Android seven inch tablet from Aldi yesterday for $99. Tested it out last night and it seems pretty good for the price. It runs a recent version of Android, 4.0 I think. The screen is good, plays utube videos fine and browses the web well.

She uses gmail so it all should sync in nicely. Only problem is its colour, pink. But it was the last one in the shop.

So it should be fine for her to read email, browse the web and stuff like that. Plus its easy to put in a bag.

A work colleague is into board games too. I used to play them but have not done it for about 20 years. Maybe this winter we will play some of them. He just picked up two eastern front world war 2 games.

Last time I put a tool in my wife's hands (hold the puns people) she manged to burn herself on the exhaust of her xr250. I have no idea how she manged that when the 12mm open ender was for tightening the mirrors.

I'll stick with the handbag for her.

A few years ago I gave my kids three hundred trillion dollars each - they loved that gift.

I was thinking of making or buying my mum a terrarium this Christmas.

I blew the $100 limit a bit....

Got home from another country cruise and found a grumpy sandwichmaker.

While I was gone the washing machine died, closely followed by the kettle, cordless phone and toaster.
The toaster carking it resulted in the smoke detector failing from "contact counselling" inflicted by the sandwich maker energetically turning it off with a broom handle.

A quick trip to Kambos with the trailer and all is good, sandwich maker is happy, just need to hit Bumblings for another box full of smoke detectors and everything is back to what resembles normal around here......

I figure the missus just got christmas, mums day, birthday and a deposit on next christmas all rolled into one

Stephen.
