Could be a thing for wake skaters instead of rolling out a winch as many do.
Wouldn't want to hold the handle to long after falling though surely it would pull the drone down

I'm skeptical.. I don't think the power is there yet, both in the motors and the batteries. They're (possibly, if not fake viral vid) making it work with a running start in super shallow water, and not really carving at all.

Zero wind - look how glassy. Skim board Style start over shallow water. Little Guy. U can stop a tinny with a hard carve if you are not mindfull of slowing it down. Still awesome. Great vid. Imagine the things to come

A 10 HP engine on a tinny couldn't do that and a 3000 mA/H lithium battery can?

ok so it's not fake, but just highly misleading.. lots of running/skimming going on betwen shots, 9kgs of thrust could only maintain the basic skim..

One day soon you won't need a pilot to fly the drone for you.
There's already drones with the tech to be able to follow you remotely, upgrade that to a wrist wearable steering device, give it a bit more grunt and battery life...sweet!


Or make them bigger and petrol powered and they can be the new jetski, in the sky

Be able to hack through a few sails on the water with the petrol model
