There have to play on an oval pitch because the players couldn't find a corner on a rectangular one.
The players can't be trusted to throw the ball in correctly so the referee has to do it for them
The fans have to shout out "BALL" so the players can remember what they have to chase around the field
There is more bum squeezing and general fondling than any game of real football (count it boys and do the stats)
With 5 umpires on the field they still can't figure out whats going on
With the biggest goals of any sport, the consolation pionts (come one mate, it was a good try we should give em something else he'll cry) they still miss the lot, jeeze even rugby players can kick the ball over the bar and between the sticks.
I have to agree with the 2 comments prior to this, gAyFL. What a joke of a game. They call it the toughest game around, but your not allowed to tackle someone or heaven forbit lay a single finger on them. What a bunch of GAY'S. I've give the average AFL player 30 seconds on a rugby field, and then they'd be running like a little girl.

Its unfair to compare the two games, or any sports for that matter. You should appreciate each sport for its own set of skills. If you dont like AFL, dont watch it ... pretty simple.

mike trying playing as a ruckman and see how long you last. i used to play second row union and trust me that was a hell of alot softer and less tiring.
