Hey Dads
What did you get. I got a great big lump of home-made rocky road delivered on my forehead at 5.15am this morning and a cardboard door handle hanger that says dad rox priceless

Father's Day Present was early for me. The Cat's pumped Collingwood on Friday Night (AFL) !!

Present Number 2, was my 2 year old boy (2 and 2 months) actually being able to say "Happy Fathers Day Dad".

But I'll drop the hint today, that they should get me some Rocky Road!

Well actually he did, he made my wife so full of happy baby hormones she ok'd me to buy a Zephyr 17 last week. And he was so well behaved this morning she said "off you go and try it out.."

Yep, 1st. Wasn't too sure about the whole thing till he came out.. but now I think we'll keep him

I bought myself a s/h sup last week, within days after buying a paddle...so wasn't expecting anything.

But, I forgot that it's about the kids, so got 2 coffee mugs, each decorated by my 2 (primary school) kids, 3 stubby holders (can never have too many of those), a Darrell Lea bag and various home-made cards & pictures!!!

Spent yesterday windsurfing & sup'ing with mates & my 8yo son, paddling around in the harbour on a homemade board we got given to us, relaxing night with friends & a few ales last night, and just got back from a family stroll down the street, fish & chips lunch at beach playground, now kids & mum kicking back & I'm about to load up my gear for a sail - about 15-20kt cross-shore.

Very happy dad here! I'm not one for these 'commercial' type days, but a great weekend all the same.

Congrats. It's a good feeling eh ?
Tip 1: Take heaps of stills and vids of bub - you can't take enough. You will appreciate them down the track.
Tip 2: Enjoy the "happy baby hormones" as they will run out soon. Lol.

Best wishes.

Congratulations kiteboy dave!

The first year or two be prepared to play second string to the missus as she loves him to death. Then they're fantastic for the next 5-6 years when they're innocent and completely trusting in you. Then they become older kids and eventually teenagers. You gotta keep your patience for maybe 10 years during that time until they become human again but it's fantastic watching them grow and develop. Eventually they become young humans and if you're lucky, good mates to boot.

Which all means you've still got the best ahead of you. Enjoy the ride!

I got a decorated cardboard tie from my 20month old boy

Visited the grandad and great grandad and watched their eyes light up to the lad's antics

And just now tucking into a bottle of Gage Roads Tripple (Limited Edition 2169/4000) (That I grabbed off the shelf yesterday while said 20 month old was having a tanty in Dan Murphys - and then found out it was a $17 bottle of beer!)

Its alllllll good

Congrats Dave... it just gets better mate
