Foam blank manufacturer goes belly up!

Did you hear about Clark Foam in the US ceasing creation of foam blanks?

Apparently they only make them for surfboads - not sure if it affects windsurfing as well, but they say Clark supplied up to 90% of the industry and nobody can make new boards at the mo!

Australia has it's own manufacturers, but some are talking 3 month delays to get new blanks...

Yep heard about it last week on surfboard forums something to do with health regulations

Maybe all wood surfboards will be the rage once again.

I mean, that's why they were called 'boards' in the first place.

PS. If there's no foam around, hollow board technology will save ya.

outdated foam ploughing with grp skins were always doomed.
environmentally unsafe.
the e.p.a. worked it's magic.
that stuff is so late 1900s.
