Case your married with responsibilities.
You don't get out much.
You live < 30 minutes from work/drinking area.

What time should you be home?

BTW: Any time you want is not an acceptable answer.

As long as I ring and let her know - any time - but probably not too much after 1am...

You said "don't get out much" so I reckon any time you want

as long as you don't come home smelling of perfume with lipstick on your collar and your fly undone, and say "roll over fatty, you're next"

Your missing the . .

So you're OK with your Mrs coming home at any time she wants, cos you trust her and want her to live her life... what if she's lying in a ditch after being gang banged?

My Mrs came home after midnight, without letting me know and she's OK with it, in fact she's still in bed with a HEADACHE disputing the time she got home.

Many moons ago i lived with a women who came home after drinks at work on a friday night completly shatered & went straight to bed even though we had orgainised friends over for the dinner that i had cooked i wasnt happy but didnt say anything & just got on with the night for about an hour until the ploice came & asked if i was the owner of the car that hit a parked car & drove off .I was the owner & told them i had been home , they said would i know who was driving & i took them into her . Our guests then left . She then left in the company of the police while i went down to inspect the damage.
Of course i had to pay for all the repairs to the other car as well as mine .
When i had finished paying we split up.
Best thing that ever happened.
I feel sorry for anybody who has her now.

I reckon some time before 9pm is okay and any time beyond 10pm is not very good. Most people finish work by 6pm at the latest so that gives you two or three hours to drink and talk.

Any longer than that and you will get a bit too drunk.

If it's every once and a while long as you ring and say your going out for a drink and tell them what time you expect to be home any time you think is reasonable is fine.

Personally I'd rather come home and go out for a drink with my partner.

I'll come home from the pub bit after 7 and have dinner and if the band is going to be playing that night, Lover and I will stroll on down and groove till midnight.

The rule my scaly sailing crew have adopted is you can be home late or drunk, but not both....

One question.

Do not require drinks to make poor decisions and fall into one-night stands.

I don't always need alcohol to make stupid decisions.
