I don't know either, sorry. But the green thumbs might need a closer photo of the leaves and flowers to help work out what it is?

You can take a few photos and send them in to the Ag. dept for identification.
They usually get back within a week with either a positive id or at least some possibilities.
You need close ups of the leaves, any flowers and/or seeds, and the stem for a reliable id.

No idea, but I gave you a green thumb as per the title.....

Might be a Triffid so be carefull taking close ups....

So you are in Pac Palms? If you get the chance to take a few bits into the Local Land Services office in Taree, they should be able to help you out. Bits with leaves, flowers and fruit are helpful for ID if there are any.

What ever it is looks very paramedic. Leaching of the host.

Best weedkiller is a few 20 litre drums of diesel.
Some of those runners are extremely aggressive growing there's probably more below the surface than above.
A branch from the parent plant on this will probably create off spring.

from the pics it looks like a passionfruit rootstock gone feral. keep ripping it out. you could spray the leaves without worrying the tree undrneath.
you wont get friut from it but a flower pic will tell straight away

ha, its a botonasis ludersect, introduced forna, it is similar to passion fruit without the fruit, you can poison it, or rip it out, or leave it, they start out growing on ground, then climb tree, eventually getting above the tree, forming a canopy, its aggressive in pursuit of life

From past experience the Seabreezer skill set is more focused on lawn care.

That would look great cleared and a nice , lush meadow of Sir Walter IMO.

To kill the vine......Get small plastic container , cut hole in side. Fill with Round up. Cut thickest bottom stem of vine to expose fresh growth.Put vine stem in round up. Tie container off to vine. A couple of repeats on different stems and it will be cactus.

How do you feel about Cactus?

try mixing up a product called tree and woodyvine killer add some old canola oil to the mix and some food colouring so you know where you sprayed.
spray every leaf you can find and the stumps of the main vine. dont go ripping up until its dead as dead, as this will encourage more suckers. its a natural response to being grazd

ROFL, One thing impresses me about Sir Walter - and that is how well a slick marketing campaign has managed to convince so many people that plain old coarse, scratchy and thatchy Buffalo Grass is the apex of lawn grasses.....and charge accordingly....
