I'm starting to get weird browser behaviour. Mainly on specific websites, including some pages on SB

Eg when I try to login to Bankwest and/or NAB online banking, the first time the pop-up login window opens it quickly diverts to an ad (Sportsbet this time with a URL http://rbv.jobfindgold.info/a1/..........). But if I close that popup window and do exactly the same again (click login) I get a normal login window.

Some on SB. Some specific forum topics seem to cause a popup window that says "The page at shuang 11temai.com says Congratulations!!! You are todays locky winner of some Apple i-product".

I've always had free AVG and recently upgraded to a 30-day-trial of the paid version. I've run a scan and it doesn't find anything.

Any tech folk out there know wtf is happening with my computer please?

Don't know what's happening on your computer but on mine I've noticed a bit of adware getting past the security lately. The way I've dealt with it is have a look at the first domain name on the ad material that pops up in the corner of my browser when the ads start loading and then google how to remove it. Different things needed different approaches.

You have a browser diverter and after you get one issue others can enter your computer..

download:- www.malwarebytes.com/

and run a full scan...
if you can't download malwarebytes with the browser you have

use another browser on your computer...and if you don't have a couple of browsers on your pc

run you computer in safe mode and and see if you can download malwarebytes in that and run it in safe mode.
hope this helps

Thanks heaps guys (and girl!).

Have downloaded Gypsy's suggestion and am running it now. It's already found 3 malicious "objects".

Any chance any of these things logged my keystrokes and are going to steal my dough from my online bank accounts? Or are they just annoying ad things?

Thanks again, really appreciate it.

Annoying is all they are...they eventually close down your system
If they were true key loggers you would not have anything left in your bank account

When your scan is finished and some of the issues malwarebytes can not get rid off
then you have an issue.....(one set at a time though....lets see what happens)

You can also delete all your temporary internet files, cookies, browsing history.
Most of that annoying stuff is hidden in there somewhere.

You can get to it via Tools - Internet Options - then on General tab, under 'Browsing History' click on 'Delete' .
tick all boxes and click on Delete.

This will remove your logins so next time you go to SB or any other website for which you have a permanent login on that computer.
So you will have to log in again. No big deal so long as you remember your passwords.

Every couple of days I run Ccleaner which I got from filehippo, been using it for years. On average it deletes up to 1.4g from my computer every time.
I also run the registry cleaner after. Takes 2mins of my time and works a treat.
