Yep, it's come around again. She decided to remind me last night it's my year to plan, great where do I start with 2 days in hand I thought.

So I've booked a night at the OBH for starters, but I have no idea about good restaurants or attractions around that area.

So if you have any suggestions please help me out. Also any gift ideas, what's in and what's out with the ladies in todays world...

There's a Red Rooster just down the road in Stirling Highway that do a reasonable takeaway chicken and chips.

Also, after the OBH, if you're planning to spend the night in the back of the ute in the Cottesloe carpark, it is now 3 hour time limit so you will cop a bluey.

Ahhhhh,.. And some people say I'm not a romantic.
How could they say such a thing! ???

Well it's going to be windy so maybe she could sit on the beach and watch you windsurf/kitesurf and to add to the romance she could help you de-rig/catch your kite.
After the romantic beach trip she could then give you a nice massage to sooth your weary muscles.
Then it's off to the bar where she can point out the attractive women walking and jogging past as the sun goes down.

Not much help so far, bit funny though.

To clear things up, I meant that big building that stands out like dogs balls along the coast (I thought the OBH was under it, my bad). Oh the redrooter sound good and well within budget, but was thinking something a little more romantic.

I seriously don't venture up that way by choice, so those that have been out and had a enjoyable night please respond now!!

Set her up with a blind date perhaps?

Ok how about Matilda bay resteraunt? It's not super close but not far either. Very nice view, good nosh and cosy without being super romantic to point that you can't read the menu due to 'mood lighting'. Enough hustle and bustle so that if she gets bored with kite-talk there isn't that ..................................... awkward silence.

And who keeps giving the "thumbs down " to all my good ideas?
I'm offended!
Any more of that and I will go off and join the kiters!

I thought Stribo's idea sounded good too so I gave him a big thumbs up!

(and it sounds like blaster is thinking of Observation City in scarborough.
OBH is Ocean Beach Hotel in Cottesloe. So the chicken and chips in Cott might be out. You will have to ask her to cut some samwidges.)

You could take her to "The Saint" a popular wind heads hangout. She could get drinks and remain quiet whilst you talk windsports to other likeminded individuals in the said establishment.

Blastoff,
IF, and I can only assume that a thoughtful bloke like yourself would, you chose a room with an ocean view then you dont need to go anywhere.

Order in to your room, a candlelit table, some oysters for starters, maybe a nice crayfish dinner for mains and creme brulet dessert, couple (or five) bottles of champagne, views of the ocean and a romantic sunset and of course your magnificent company.

what else could she ask for

Ahhh - me thinks you do mean the Radison (formerly Observation City)...
Get ya money's worth and spend the time shagging, then order in pizza - eating it in the spa, carelessly spilling it and let it float about as per Duece Biggalo... now that is style...

Of course if you have been married more than 3 years you have no chance of a bonk unless a fancy dinner is part of the deal. Don't be tight and spring for extra pepperoni and anchovis!!!

Actually there is a Vietnamese joint 1km up Scarb bch Rd called The Viet Corner... not super romantic but bloody good nosh. Can't think of any luvvy duvvy joints in the area to be honest. Advice is to ply with wine until the surroundings take on that soft-focus dreamy state, then tell her she's at Frasers.

LOL, yes yes just checked booking, Observation City Hotel with ocean view apartment. I truly don't get up there at all, so don't have a clue.

Grump's that plan of your's certainly will be a winner. Funky some good back up idea's for me if she indicates an early dinner before retreating to the nest.

Stribo and pweedas I apologies for the bum steer in the initial post. Man you guy's are seriously obsessed 24-7 with your wind sport. LOL I thought I was committed to making everything revolve around it.

Cheers guy's, takes some pressure of now that I got some sort of plan festering. I better get the map book out so I don't end up going the wrong place hey.
