Sh!t happens to anyone doing anything, and you never know when it's going to happen to you.
Lay low, take protein and amino acid shakes, 6-8 weeks come back give it another shot.
I've been kiting for 9 years, ~10 weeks ago equipment failure resulted in me falling from ~12m on to water... cracked a rib with costochondral separation, got back in to it 6 weeks later, it hurt so I changed my style (less air, more distance).
I spent the night in emergency too, I didn't go with morphine cos that can make you feel nauseous.
