Having just purchased a Naish 2011 Park in excellent barely used condition, I am hoping to find a way to get rid of the minor brown stains that appear in the white sections of the Dacron canopy.
Previously we have removed black mildew stains from an floatation vest by soaking the vest in cold water and an Australian product called 'Nappy San'.
After a 24 hour soaking the stains required mechanical removal using a stiff bristled floor brush and some serious elbow grease. It took two days but eventually the stains were removed.
I do not know if the same method will work on the Dacron. Also I am concerned at soaking my entire Naish kite in a foreign chemical like 'Nappy San'.
Any suggestions or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

don't worry about the stains and just ride the thing. it shouldn't be an issue until you go to sell the kite to someone else, by that time they might have faded or been sun bleached off.
chemical cleaners are not good for sail cloth, nor is vigorous scrubbing.
and surely you have better things to do with your time?

Hey Stamp, you are correct, I do have better things to do with my time but they involve wind. I will heed your warning and not scrub the sail cloth. ATM there is no wind and has not been any for almost two weeks.
Have resorted to visiting local kite shop just to chew the fat with another kiting enthusiast. Have watched my 'Progression' DVDs a thousand times, used up most of my download limit watching kite clips on youtube. Cleaned and patched all pinholes. polished my twin tip. Checked a gazillion times. What else do you suggest?
