I've just started kiteboarding!!! So:
1. Outta control a lot (despite lessons)
2. Spent a stackload of money on gear
3. Worried about a) Hurting someone else
b) Hurting myself - I'm the sole breadwinner and the family are already sacrificing enough to get me out on the water!!
c) Damaging the gear
d) Losing the gear (Board drifting off, Theft from home, beach, car, etc)
e) Having to be rescued
Does anyone out there have any insurance against all of 3 a) to e) or parts thereof (insurance speak!)?
I've checked out AKSA and IKO (see also previous post 'Damn Insurance').
AKSA: a) only, with high excess
IKO: a), b) Minimal payout if you die, min-med payout if you're injured, and e)
Does anyone have insurance cover for their gear in and out of the house under their home / contents policy?
Are there any other kitesurfing equipment policies out there?
Thanks!
