Im thinking of buying an inflatable boat for spearfishing / surf access.
Does any one have experience of Mercury Inflatables (heavy duty line) vs the more expensive equivalent from Zodiac?
Im looking around the 4m mark to run with a 25hp tiller control outboard.
Anyfeedback appreciated

I went through this on the sailing forum. Zodiac comes out way on top.

Bought a cheap Chinese thingy!

Go a thundercat. Cheap as 2nd hand. Fast. Fun. Plenty out there.

Second the thundercat idea ..... Use mine for fishing, tow in, getting places and speed fun.

Handles surf and chop far better than a zodiac does 80kph out of the box ( with a few mods easily break 100kph ) and you can stand on one side of the boat and it stays flat.... Perfect for fishing.

There was a thundercat on gumtree for a while I was keen on, 25 jono say 12years old, registered trailer, rack on back for surfboard and/or ski rope attachment point. All for $2500. If it was the right time in my life I would have been all over it.
