I'm migrating to Perth later this year from the UK, and being a keen kiter wanted to know what size kites you guys use out there? And what your average wind stats are? I'm just about to upgrade my kites to 9m, 12m and 16m North Rhinos. Would I need anything smaller? Also where are some good local spots, more for freestyle than wave? Any info on this would be good, thanks guys!

good move, you will love it here, i don't know anything about kitesurfing but it is very popular here - too may places to mention, just make sure you live near the ocean and get a job where you can bunk off at 3pm.

Inorbit,
Just search on the kitesurfing thread for answers to all your questions. 9 and 12 will get the most use, although lately the wind has been sh1t, so the 16 will still get some use, more so in winter.
There are heaps of flat water, chop and waves spots in and around Perth. Flatwater fav is Woodies and Lancelin. Waves fav around Perth is prob Scarborough, Lancelin or out of Perth. Chop fav is either Woodies or Leighton. Also see waksa.org.
