Hey my name just got pulled out of the Led Zepplin - Ballot.

http://www.ahmettribute.com/page1.html

Great first thing I ever win and it's going to cost me $6000.
(airfare/accom/tickets) for me and my son.

Never thought I wouldn't be happy to win something!

Oh well maybe in another life.

What did you win?
It seems everything has to be paid for? Or is it the ability to be able to purchase everything you won? Im sure if you didnt want it you could make a pretty penny on ebay. selling the opportunity to buy (airfare/accom/tickets)

It was a ballot for the right to buy two tickets for the one and only Led Zepplin reunion concert. Had to register on line. If you imagine all the people in europe and USA that would have registered, I'm guesing 1 million plus, pretty slim chance of being picked.
The conditions are real strict if you read the fine print.
My original thought was that if I won I would buy the 2 tickets, one for my 18yo son and one for his freind. I would pay for my sons airfare and accom. His friend would have been up for his own airfare and spending money.
The conditions are so strict (if you read the blurb) that I (being the winner of the ballot) would have to go- that in itself doubled the cost! - I suppose my son had the dream that he was going for a little while.

No, It was for my son who really wants to go - the point is I have to go too - that doubles the cost!

I was at a 5 day Festival/concert here in Switzerland earlier this year and Robert Plant played a few Led Zep songs and few newies... gotta say i was pretty chuffed to have had the opportunity to see the old guy!

Drugs have clearly had there effect on him as has time... so he is a little slow on stage.... BUT

on what i have seen with him and his band i'd spend 10g for you and your boy to have a once in a lifetime experience that none of his mate or yours will ever be able to say "yeah know what that was like"... Go for it... Go and party out with your boy and his mate...

rock on! what better father son experience would/could one ask for?

you ver lucky man Mr Davmen
