www.skynews.com.au/sport/article.aspx?id=726934&vId= Went to see the Lions play Melbourne at the MCG last year and watched Jurrah destroy us. He scored 5 in one quarter. It was beautiful/painful to watch and the only time I've been to the football where both lots of supporters just waited for the moment when the ball went in Jurrahs direction. Everyone just stood in anticipation of him doing something special, which he did.....most of the time. I don't know anything about tribal law or payback etc, but I'd love to see him play football again.

I'm with you on that logman dude, follower of the mighty Dees many a time found myself jumping from my seat yelling "jurrah" as he take's a screamer ,he is an excitement machine, match turner. Apparently on bail in "custody" of the Melb Footy Club. Hopefully all is well with him and we win the Grand Final this year

Why should he get special treatment because he plays football?

He shouldn't, if he used a machete to attack some dude he should go to the slammer.

Charged on 2 counts.
1. Intending serious harm.
2. Being in possesion of a serious weapon.

I don't care who you are. If you're a football superstar or bloke next door, indigenous or non-indigenous. If you're pissed and break out a machete while your mates got an axe, cruising around for a fight. you should get the book thrown at you and locked up.

not knowing any of the facts relating to the incident but I would assume there is a case for presumption of innocence?
