Went to the see the movie last night on the big screen at the amazing Regent theatre in Melb, also at the show was an almost complete cast of the original muso's doing a live soundtrack.
Brian Cadd, Mike Rudd and Tim Gaze from Taman Shud were complemented by Lior and Gyan.
Well what an absolute hoot, not only seeing a classic surf movie on the big screen but the soundtrack was played with precision and greeted with equal adoration by the crowd.
What a movie, as Rusty said, the era was hard to describe in words but the movie captured the whole story, surfing lifestyle and generation that did what they had to to follow the waves, simple and easy. The only thing missing were the joints.
If you get a chance to see the production, take it as I believe its touring Australia.
