got into the 250's and the bastards changed the satelite channels around and I got something about the queen. Sometimes it can be a bit frustrating over here

Just watching the GP now,
always wondered why in certain turns they take their foot/leg out on the inside on the breaking, always at the same turn, and same for everyone ?
Is it for a special fast turn ?

Valentino was the first person I noticed doing that... I don't know the finer points about the rules, but there are rules, regarding interference, who hit who first... "I think" that foot down action is a combo of a moto-cross foot down turn, and protection of the space on the inside, to try and stop anyone coming in hot on the underside. But yeah, not too sure...!

In my mind, it's a balance thing. Helps keep the bike steady when hard under brakes. Only works for left turns obviously. I don't know for sure if it actually works or if it's all in the mind though. I used to do it in my motocross days as a kid, but not so often after moving to road bikes. I have friends that race dirt and road or both but only those with a dirt background do it often. They all say the same thing (balance).

There was a write up in one of the magazines about the leg out cornering. Can't remember the specifics but definitely about the heavy braking and getting the bike to lean into the corner.

They do it for both right and left corners. They aren't touching the rear brakes when they are braking that hard. You'll often see the rear tyre floating above the bitumen when braking. Any pressure on the rear brakes causes lock ups and if it's a good lock up... a crash.

Loved watching last night. Was on at a reasonable time on free to air.

So what happened to Casey, he looked like he was riding a bike that was running on a grease track all night

Went with the wrong tyre, expected the soft tyre not to last but the the temp had dropped +10º from previous day so the hard didn't really come in.

Super slow mo shots were amazing to see

Pedrosa was on the hard tyre also and seemed to have reasonable heat in the tyres until he faded a bit at the end.

The Yamaha is getting better life out of the Bridgestones than the Honda ATM.
