Lately have been getting addicted to the sour taste of natural yogurt. Especially the Mundella 2kg variety. Farmers Union natural yogurt not too bad as well. Trouble is I can't stop eating the stuff so it's costing me a fortune. Sweetened yogurt with sugar tastes crap now and the artificially sweetened stuff is vile. The low fat variety tastes nearly as bad.

Yep the best yoghurt is pure milk and starter bacteria, set in the pot.

Low fat is a con. You pay to have flavour and goodness removed and replace it with sugar - that's dumb.

Artificial sweeteners are poison.

Suger is one of the leading causes of diabetes, cancer and heart disease.

All good things to minimise and control.

Try the Greek Yoghurt.
I am not a fun of pure yogurt but that one come in 2kg bucket and is delicious.
Simply disappearing in no time from the fridge as whole family eat fast.

Besides you could try one day clabber ( we call it sour milk) and you prepare it by adding a bit of butter milk to fresh milk and leave it at 35 degree for few hours ( like yogurt)
Specifically healthy as contain Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and bifidobacteria.

Why do all australian yoghurt producers think that they have to thicken their product so much? Thick is NOT creamy. It is just glue!!

If I want a bowl of jelly, I will go an make myself a bowl of jelly, not open a tub of yoghurt.

Anyone remember when jelly was runny, and you could actually taste it as it slid over your taste buds? Instead we now might as well be eating glue made from flour and water. Uchhh!!!

I travelled to Italy a couple of years ago, and one of the highlights of the trip was the yoghurt!! Simple, made with real fruit, and not thickners. Mmm, it was delicious!!! I would go back there for the yoghurt alone.

The easiyo yoghurt maker is really easy to use, and very cheap. You can use their premix, or just use the machine as a convenient way to make your own yoghurt.

You can buy yogurt bacillus from Govita shops (or any decent health food shop, I imagine). It comes as a product called kefir and takes a day or so in a warm place to give you runny yogurt from milk. I find that it is quite convenient to float a bottle of yogurt culture in a batch of home brew, thus balancing the yin and yang of a healthy breakfast food with getting f***ed up in the evening.
The stuff also will ferment coconut cream. Takes a little longer, but it makes a nice change from cows milk yogurt

Yoghurt, biggest scam on the market. Easy to get your own in an hour or so.
1: get a carton/bottle of milk.
2: Remove cap/open container.
3: Place a insect screen over top, dont want to get any bugs in the stuff.
4: Place opened container in the Aussie sun for a few hours.
5: El presto, there ya go milk gone orrrff, now being flogged as yoghurt, to one and all, at some huge inflated price.

Worst tasting product on the market, fluffed up with rejected fruit nuts and other crap, when all in all, its just a tub of rotten milk, with sh1t in it
